The Sinner's Prayer

What is the Sinner's Prayer ?

It is a prayer that those who are unsaved, those who do not yet know Jesus in a personal way pray to become saved. Those who want to avoid going to hell and want to go to heaven pray this prayer.

Pray this now  

Jesus, I know that you are real and I need you now, today !  So forgive me of all my sin. No sin is too small or too big for you to forgive. Come into my empty heart and live there. I want to be alive spiritually and be in heaven when I die. Make me a new creation in Christ Jesus, oh Lord.              

                        Amen                                 

1.  Repent

Luke 15:7  "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."  NIV Bible

Mean it when you say it, and God will turn your life around and change you. Simply tell him you are sorry and ask him to forgive you for living without him.

2.  Confess

Romans 10:9  "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."  NIV Bible

Tell God that you need Him and ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sin.

3.  Believe It

Romans 10:10  "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."  NIV Bible

Believe in God, who created you and knows your heart and mind. Believe it by accepting his free gift of life in Christ.

4.  Receive It

Colossions 2:6-7  "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and over-flowing with thankfulness."  NIV Bible

Say, Lord I need you. Come into my life and heart and make me alive spiritually today, now !
